Tara Berry - course instructor

Tara Berry has been a professional in the Pilates industry for over twenty years. Her interest in pilates stemmed from a need to strengthen her back due to a gymnastics injury. Her subsequent passion for pilates grew as a result of her physical improvements and the fantastic way it made her feel.

A graduate from the University of Alberta, Tara holds a B.Ed. specializing in Physical Education. She completed her PMA recognized Pilates Equipment and Mat certification in Toronto at Body Harmonics Pilates in 2002.

She also has completed years of continuing education classes in pilates through various master teachers around the world. In addition, Tara is certified in Yoga (RYT 200), Essentrics (Level 4), Pfilates (Pilates for Pelvic Floor), Neck and Shoulder Function (Active Anatomy), Barre, Therapeutic Ball Release, TRX, and Post-natal Pilates.

Tara believes the mind-body connection can empower a deeper, more intelligent approach to fitness, and that the principles of pilates can be incorporated into all aspects of movement education.

Shannon Shea - course instructor

I grew up in Saskatoon, spent time in London and Melbourne, and have traveled to 35+ countries—a love of movement and curiosity has always taken me far.

A serious back injury led me to Pilates and it has been a huge part of my life for 26 years, and I’ve been teaching full-time Pilates for 19 and yoga for 14.

I still love it: helping bodies transform, guiding students to move with confidence, and watching them enjoy life free from pain.

I’m comprehensively trained and fully certified in MAT, Reformer , Cadillac, chair and CoreAlign and 300 hour yoga certification.

My focus is on alignment and precision, blending several trainings from Balanced Body, Garuda and many other movement styles to guide students safely, intentionally, and effectively.

Teaching is more than just about sharing what I know—it’s about learning from my students and watching them grow into teachers themselves.

Pilates isn’t just exercise—it’s a full-method practice, a multivitamin for your body and mind that supports everything you do.
